It would be pretty great to take the ferry from Montauk to Casablanca…

In a series that’s already rife with whiplash-inducing plot twists, the Red Wedding is one of the most unsettling, horrific, and terrifying moments, not least because it lulls the audience into a false sense of safety. By eating Walder Frey’s bread and salt, the Starks engage in the age-old custom of hospitality. To betray one’s guests in one’s home is a most grievous sin, yet that’s just what Walder Frey does to enact a most terrible vengeance against the King in the North and his clan, murdering Robb, Catelyn (Michelle Fairley), and their men at the wedding feast, transforming this bawdy celebration into a bloodbath from which no one escapes.

In Turkey, at least 100 injured as police use teargas, water cannons against protesters at Gezi Park:

“These people will not bow down to you” — protest banner

Police raided the camps of demonstrators at dawn on Friday. The demonstrators have been in the park for days to protest plans to build a shopping mall. Clouds of teargas rose around Taksim Square, a historic venue for political protest in the country.

Two Tumblrs are claiming to collect unconfirmed pictures of the protests: resistaksim.tumblr.com and occupygezipics.tumblr.com.

Protests began on Monday after developers destroyed trees in the park. It has since widened into a demonstration against Prime Minister Tayyip Erdogan political party, perceived policy brutality,  and the government’s stance on Syria.

The Istanbul Medical Chamber said at least 100 people sustained minor injuries, some when a wall collapsed as they tried to flee teargas. Amnesty International said it was concerned by what it described as “the use of excessive force” by the police.

David Kwong is a self-proclaimed “word nerd,” and he’s also the quintessential alternative magician. Instead of sparkly suits and white tigers, he uses the periodic table, Scrabble tiles, and crossword puzzles in his magic show. He talked to Studio 360’s Kurt Andersen about alt-magic, the new magic-caper film Now You See Me, and shared some some Scrabble skills. He also performed a trick.

This is both a profoundly boring and also completely surprising magic trick. (Unless you presume the markers are fake.)

“Navy blew”??

I’ll send $20 via Paypal to the first person who can explain this to me.

Wait, what?

Aw shucks.
