Zoom newsweek: Conflicting information here. Did the shooter, or did he not, fire upon NYPD officers? That is the question of the moment. Either way, the officers shot him dead—and reportedly hit a few other bystanders in the process. The story’s still fluid, obviously, but this illustrates nobody’s really sure who shot at who.
