All of the crew members of the C Flight 22 unit will be attending the ceremony with their partners. Flight Cmdr. Iain “Spike” Wright said he was “dumbfounded” by the invitation. Other search-and-rescue crews will pitch in to cover their shifts, because they will need to take three days off to attend.
